| WEISMAN ART MUSEUM
UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA
Minneapolis, MN
Design: Frank Gehry
This building was designed by internationally acclaimed architect Frank
Gehry. It is part of the Minneapolis campus at the University of Minnesota.
It houses the university's art collection and is host to visiting exhibitions
and educational programs The building sits on the Mississippi River, overlooking
one of its graceful curves.
We were asked to provide a complete assessment of this facility as part
of a research project on feng shui and environmental psychology. Our analysis
was carefully scrutinized for theoretical trends and methodological approaches.
In addition to interest in the professional application of feng shui principles,
the institution was also interested in understanding how this structure
works from an energetic perspective. Recommendations were made to correct
problems previously identified by staff and students as part of on-going
analytical work.
