SOUTH DENVER CARDIOLOGY CENTER Denver, CO Design: Studio Completiva This 70,000 square foot outpatient Heart Center is dedicated to providing cardiology services as a community-friendly facility. The center includes a cardiac rehabilitation and wellness facility, an education center with a full kitchen for “heart healthy” cooking demonstrations, as well as an integrative medicine center offering massage, acupuncture, herbology, pilates, and yoga, along with other behavioral and stress modification therapies. This facility was designed to elicit the familiarity and comfort of a sky lodge or lake-side retreat. It boasts magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains, several fireplaces, waterfalls, a labyrinth, and a variety of materials that capture the quintessential feel of the Colorado desert. The Feng Shui analysis focused on providing the proper feel for the space, and on coordinating all of the elements to create an environment where the critical needs of the clinical patients would not clash with the more active functions of the wellness program. All materials, colors and configurations were checked for their integrity to the program, and adjustments were recommended when these did not meet the client's stated objectives.
