Village Care
of New York is a community-owned, not-for-profit organization dedicated
to meeting the needs of its elderly neighbors and to serving a community
confronted with the AIDS epidemic. The umbrella organization currently
includes a Community Case Management Program, an AIDS Day Treatment Program,
a Certified Home Health Agency, a residential facilities for the elderly,
as well as Rivington House, a long-term facility for individuals suffering
from AIDS and HIV disease.
Because of its rapid growth
and expansion in the last years, Village Care has been transformed into
a dynamic organization poised to take on a significant share of the Health
Care market in Manhattan. Our analysis
consisted on an evaluation of the corporate site as well as the satellite
facilities, and it included proposals for maximizing space, functionality,
efficiency, and profitability. It included intensive interaction with
a team of architects, health care managers, and medical personnel on the
design and construction of its many facilities.
