CAFE DE COLOMBIA New York CIty Cafe de Colombia is the official representative of the Colombian Coffee Federation in the US, and one of the most important commercial, political, and financial organizations in Colombia. It is invested with the promotion and marketing of this country’s main export product. Cafe de Colombia is housed on an elegant turn-of-the century house on fashionable 57th Street tin Manhattan. Purchased in 1965, the building had been remodeled only once since then and was in great need of refurbishing. Plans included the addition of exhibition and gallery space at ground level, a new lobby, and a new conference space to be shared with the Colombian Permanent Mission to the United Nations. Our services included an assessment of the site and building, an analysis of energy flow throughout the structure, as well as recommendations for architectural design, decoration, and landscaping. Individual consultations were carried out with all principals, in order to maximize their potential in what has become an extremely competitive world market for coffee and coffee products.
