SOHO, NYC

Hand-made silk textiles, award-winning design, and exclusive service to a very select clientele has made Kinnu one of the more original and compelling boutiques in Soho. This enterprise is the creation of Kinneri and Jon Panikar, both natives of Gujarat, India and trained at the Cranbrook Academy. Their firm not only produces extraordinary textiles and fashions, it is also part of a preservation effort dedicated to protecting weaving traditions in their native country. This has included conservation efforts not only of the techniques, but also of the buildings associated with this ancient craft.

Our input has focused on interior design, energetic preparation and maintenance of the premises, and fine-tuning of commercial potential.
